Conspiracy of Silence & Misinformation?

In the years following Kenneth Arnold's famous sighting in September 1947, flying saucers began to be reported regularly, and the public looked to the government to explain what was happening. The United States Air Force began a series of investigations that were claimed to be an attempt to discover which reports were genuine and which were natural explanations. Did they really set out on this investigation with an open mind, or was the conclusion already decided in advance? Has there been an official attempt to cover up the facts and a carefully calculated misinformation program introduced to muddy the waters and deflect suspicions away from the truth?

As the governments of other nations around the world are coming clean and opening their UFO files to the public, and admitting that many of these reports do represent extraterrestrial visitations, why is the United States so stubborn in maintaining that there isn't anything to the UFO phenomenon? As bizarre-looking craft land on people's lawns and leave physical traces that destroy all life in the soil to a 15-ft depth for several years afterward, as blood-sucking, alien-looking creatures walk through densely populated neighborhoods in broad daylight in front of numerous witnesses, and zig-zagging "meteors" crash into mountains in plain view of commercial airline pilots and passengers, why are we being told there is nothing to any of this?

Does 1972 really mark the last year since a manned mission has been to the moon? Is the space shuttle program really the only result of our efforts in the years since in conquering space, or is it just a front to distract us while our government and military have been given "carte blanche" to achieve all the advancements we were promised but to this day have never seen delivered?

At the time of the public moon missions from 1968-1972, it took our astronauts 3 days to reach the moon. When NASA launched the New Horizons Pluto Spacecraft  in January 2006 from the Kennedy Space Center, New Horizons breezed passed the moon in only 11 hours! Are we really supposed to believe that the now banally repetitious Space Shuttle program to Earth orbit and back over the past 27 years is the crown of our achievement in getting man further into space? 

What is our government hiding? What is our military hiding? What is NASA hiding? We can't tell you exactly what they have, but we can tell you why it is being kept hidden: because they don't want ANYONE ELSE to have it.
